In fact when we first opened for business in 1993 we didn’t have a single canoe or kayak for sale. But we listened to our customers and heard what they wanted and we responded. And that listening to our customers’ needs has never stopped. With over 1,000 canoes and kayaks in stock we are able to offer boats for every type of paddling adventure.
Our goal is to find the right boat for the right paddler and we will spend whatever time it takes to get you into the right boat to meet your needs. Being located on the beautiful Moose River in Old Forge, NY helps as it allows us to get every customer into a selection of canoes and kayaks to compare before you buy. We are not “big box”. Sure that boat might feel good sitting in it on the showroom floor. But we want to get our customers out on the water so that you know what the boat does, not just how it looks. For this same reason we don’t package deal boats. Sure the price may sound right but we want you to be able to choose the accessories you need and that fit you the best so that you can get the maximum amount of pleasure from the equipment you purchase.

We also take this service to the extreme with our major paddlesports shows and events.
This year marks the 11th Annual Adirondack Paddlefest. This event is the largest on-water canoe and kayak sale in the entire country. Almost every major manufacturer of canoes and kayaks and paddling accessories is on hand each and every year in order to give customers not only the chance to see everything they offer but to try it out on our beautiful Adirondack waterfront. There are literally hundreds of canoes and kayaks to try and we have the owners, the builders and the instructors from these companies right there to help you decide what it right for you. This year we also kick off our first ever First Annual Northeast Paddlesports and Outdoor Expo in Saratoga Springs, New York. This show will be the first major paddlesports show in the country and will be the first large scale consumer look at what the paddling industry has to offer for 2009.
