Last Friday we celebrated our 30th Anniversary of Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company. And while March 17th, 1993 seems like a long time ago, we are amazed by how much our business has grown from those early days in an abandoned pizza shop in Inlet, NY, with only a handful of canoes and kayaks and only 700 square feet of retail space. Yes, real Mountainmen did play miniature golf back in those days, but today we are one of the largest and best-known independent outdoor specialty shops in the entire northeast.
We want to thank all of you for helping us get here; our loyal customers, our amazing staff past and present, our families, our suppliers, our sales reps, our neighbors in Old Forge and Saratoga Springs, and everyone who believed in us and helped us get off the ground in those bleak early days and throughout the years until today. Without the help of everyone mentioned here, we never could have survived and made it.
